Making mistakes is still better than making nothing.
Youth sins: who hasn't made them? Unfortunately, if it's a tattoo, it will be on your body for the rest of your life. You can keep walking around with that tattoo, or opt for a new chapter: a tattoo cover-up. Met the right technique, a lot is possible.
Below we show some examples and share tips.
Cover-up tattoo as a specialization
Not every tattoo artist can or will place a cover-up tattoo. Inksane works with some artists who are crackers at this craft. If you are considering a cover-up tattoo, we recommend that you use contact our reception. They can recommend the best artists, give you more info....

With a cover-up, your style choices are more limited. For example, a cover-up with a fine line tattoo is impossible. These are some styles that are possible, however:
We also like to provide the following tips:
- Give your artist the necessary freedom.
- Before the tattoo appointment, you will meet the tattoo artist. He will discuss the options with you.
- a dark tattoo is more difficult to cover than a lighter one (for example, an old tattoo or lighter due to laser treatment).
- Small tattoos fall easier to cover than a large tattoo. This is not to say that it is impossible to cover a large tattoo.
- cover-ups are always larger than the original tattoo. If there is skin without tattoos around the original tattoo, it will probably be included in the cover-up as well. If your entire skin is tattooed, it is more difficult to cover up (but not impossible).
Laser Tattoo
If you don't want a cover-up, you can have the old tattoo lasered. At Inksane, we do not do this.
Contact our reception If you are looking for a good shop. Tattoos lasering should be done by professionals: the laser causes deeper wounds than a tattoo.
To get a tattoo completely gone, you need several sessions. In addition, you need a few weeks of healing time between each session.
You can also have one or two laser sessions done, so your tattoo will be a lot paler. Then the covering will be done much better and faster.
Price of a cover-up tattoo
The hourly rate for a cover-up tattoo is higher than for a new tattoo.
At Inksane, we have been able to help many clients metamorphose their old tattoo.
You can have a small cover-up done for 85.00 euros, but large works can cost 1800.00 euros. The average price comes down to 540.00 euros.
