SEPTUM PIERCING

About half of Hollywood walks around with a septum piercing.

Even though you are not allowed to wear piercings at work or school: a septum piercing is still possible. After 6 to 8 weeks, turn the piercing inward, and no one will look that deep into your nostrils.

What is a septum piercing?

How does it work?

Are you afraid that a septum piercing will hurt tremendously?

Then do the test in your sweet spot: pinch the soft tissue with your fingernails. It's not pleasant, but you can't call it painful either.

The piercing will hurt even less: our piercers use a sharp needle and are a crack at their job. Before you know it, the piercing will be in.

How do I care for my new septum piercing?

It takes about 6 months before a septum piercing is healed. Not only aftercare, but also your general health, stress, lack of sleep... determine the duration of the healing process.

Do you have to wait 6 months to a beautiful gem put in your septum? Definitely not! We can start with the jewelry of your choice. Do you already know which one you will choose?

What not to do:

Not fiddling, twisting, pulling, pushing on your new piercing.
Do not use alcohol.
Avoid swimming, sauna, tanning bed and taking a long bath for 4 to 6 weeks. During these activities, your blood vessels expand. There will already be natural swelling after piercing. Therefore, a longer rod will be inserted in the beginning. The rod may become too short if you do any of these activities.

What to do:

Wash your hands before touching the piercing.
Clean your piercing up to 2 times a day with a saline solution. We recommend Neilmed Piercing Aftercare.
If you do not have a saline solution, then you can clean the piercing under flowing lukewarm water up to 2 times a day.
Pay close attention when you blow your nose! If it moves a lot, your piercing may get irritated.

Help!

My piercing is swollen.

This is completely normal because your body is reacting to the "trauma.

That's why you start with a longer rod in your piercing. When the swelling goes down, return to downsize.

My piercing itches.

This is a good sign: your piercing is starting to heal!

A lot of itching or pain combined with itching is not a good sign. Then it is best to go for a check-up drop by.
