Inksane supports healthcare - light in dark times for AZ Delta

We all remember the not so fun times of the one who shall not be named, Corona. Everyone suffered from it. Either you had it yourself or you knew someone who had it. For others, the rules were inconvenient at times.

However, that period was the most difficult of all for the healthcare personnel. To make a change anyway, our own Sandy Verfaille did a nice gesture.

Dark times for healthcare...

As the study conducted by Sciensano and KU Leuven experienced, the pressure for our caregivers was even stronger than usual.

Because of the COVID-19 crisis, the stress, fatigue and sleep problems rates rose sharply for them. Signs of acute stress were also more often detectable than usual. Not only that, but many more professionals considered quitting their profession.

As you can all imagine, this was not very easy on an emotional level either. Apart from the stress and external pressure, caregivers also have to deal with the deaths. Since the patients were not allowed visitors it weighed even more heavily than usual.

... so Inksane brings a light to the path

With this new addition to the hospital AZ Delta Sandy hoped to color up the care staff's days, but it was also primarily a way to "thank you to say. Society was falling apart a bit at the time and hospital staff among others was one of the few things that kept it afloat. Not everyone could realize it directly, but small actions to support professionals in the health and welfare sector could have a big impact. We need them and sometimes, they need us.

To brighten the dark times a bit, Sandy Verfaille from tattoo studio Inksane at Roeselare decided to donate a painting to the AZ Delta campus Rumbeke. The hospital has 3 other campuses.

Of course, this is not just a painting. Case manager and tattoo artist Sandy brought about for two weeks her skills in practice. As a result, we have a skillfully executed painting of a path with dark elements leading to a hopeful lighter point at the end of the path.

Consequently, this reflects the less positive times everyone was in at the time, but also the fact that everything is always okay in the end. It serves as a reminder that nothing is permanent. Everything is temporary, so you'll come a long way with a little confidence, faith and ambition.

Thus, Sandy tried to show that the staff is actually in the general population still support could find. Through cooperation and being able to count on each other, we hope to have a little kindness to be able to spread out.
